Welcome to the Minority Faculty
Student Partnership Program

The Minority Faculty Student Partnership Program was created to train minority students and faculty members primarily from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs) and Indian Tribal Colleges or Universities (ITCUs) in the latest principles and techniques of biotechnology.

Through lecture and “hands-on” laboratory experience, each participant will gain insights and hands-on experience regarding the current thrust of biotechnology.  This newly gained information is to be taken back and integrated into their respective home institution’s programs.  Faculty members will also foster the implementation of minority outreach programs at their respective institutions based on this program’s design.

  • Team Taught By Active Researchers
  • Lecture and Hands On Laboratory Training
  • Over 350 Students & 300 Faculty Members from over 100 Colleges and Universities have participate in this program
  • Training & Housing costs are paid for by several NIH Institutes and other sponsoring organizations.
